The new HBO documentary “Money Electric: The Bitcoin Mystery” promises to reveal one of the biggest mysteries of the cryptoworld – the identity of bitcoin creator Satoshi Nakamoto. The film will premiere as early as Tuesday, October 8.
Director Cullen Hoback, known for his documentary series on QAnon, claims that the film presents a compelling case for an unexpected candidate for Nakamoto. The film’s team conducted a thorough investigation, looking into all the suspects and analyzing a huge amount of information. Adam Beck, CEO of Blockstream, became the “point of entry” into the investigation, opening up access to important information.
If Nakamoto is indeed in control of 1.1 million bitcoins, his exposure could have a major impact on the crypto market and the global economy. The movie is rumored to claim that Nakamoto is Len Sassaman, the late cryptographer, whose death is being linked to Satoshi’s disappearance on the Internet.
The film is set to premiere on October 8. We’ll have to wait and see how convincing Hoback’s evidence will be and how the crypto community will react to his exposure.
